One of the hottest place for singles to live is Austin, Texas and it proved to be the beginning of a fairytale romance for Whitney & Rhett. As singles, Rhett moved to the area focusing on his career in the cyber security business, while Whitney was pursuing her career as a spine and biologic sales representative.

However, it all changed, one fateful, Halloween night, when the two decided to put work behind them for the evening. Rhett’s friend and future Best Man, fervently introduced the two and flirtations began. Small talk progressed throughout the night and the couple parted, with Whitney wondering if she would ever see Rhett again. Little did she know, Rhett, could not wait to ask her out for a date and when he did, the date was yoga. As Whitney was a competitive body builder and bikini model, with a life full of action packed adrenaline, she instantly googled “how to yoga”. Learning exercise and reading self-improvement books was a shared goal, they also discovered they had mutual love for travel and the adventurous outdoors.

After four years of dating and building a new life together in Austin, Rhett planned a romantic, dreamlike proposal in Barcelona during one of their vacations. Upon their return to the United States, the couple started wedding planning, with the help of a new, furry pup named Piper and the dress shopping began. For their nuptials, the couple decided to have a destination wedding in Mexico, just a short plane ride away for their friends and family in Texas. The couple chose a private, beach club in the jungle along the Riviera Maya of the Yucatan peninsula, boasting a grand palapa for the reception and an incredible seaside, beach setting for the ceremony. The bride chose abundant ivory and blush florals with King Proteas, amidst a variety of palms and mixed pampas grass and had black accents within the décor. Passionate about music and dancing, their vision of a “disco in the jungle” was created with multiple disco balls over a 3D effect lighted dance floor with gentle sea breeze kisses under the swaying palm trees on the beach. To top off the night, they had friends in the music business and had multiple DJ’s rocking the controls throughout their wedding reception.

The night was unforgettably perfect. Surrounded by friends and family with heart felt toasts, love, laughter and dancing under the stairs, the love that was shared on their wedding night will last a lifetime.
